Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide with the sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. Its structure is based on the endogenous tetrapeptide tuftsin, extended by a Pro-Gly-Pro sequence to create a distinct research compound. Preclinical studies have examined Selank in relation to neuropeptide signaling, serotonin metabolism, neurotransmitter-associated pathways and changes in gene expression. Its complete molecular mechanism remains an active area of investigation.

Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles unless freezing has been specifically validated for that product. A universal post-reconstitution shelf life should not be applied to every compound.
